what went wrong?
me and this dude, we’ll call him lucas started talking 3 weeks ago. day 1: i had introduced myself and we made casual small talk while exchanging our numbers. i asked if he wanted to meet up later that day and he said he might be able to after the gym. long story short we didn’t end up meeting, something had come up right. day 2: i subtly asked him again if he COULD meet up and he said he really wanted to but his friend wanted to go out to dinner with him that day, even tho lucas didn’t want to. day 3: it was mid day and i had asked lucas what he was going to do that day. lucas had told me he was going out to downtown brooklyn that day and i said “oh i LOVE dt brooklyn”. lucas asked me if i wanted to meet up with him and go together. i said i have something to do but ill be free after. my thing got canceled so we ended up hanging out earlier. we were supposed to meet up at 3:15 but my train ended up getting delayed and when it finally came, it went express to the stop we agreed to meet up at. as soon as he saw me his eyes lit up. and instead of going to dt brooklyn he took me to the pier in manhattan. we watched the sunrise together and had a great conversation walking along the boardwalk. we were making our way to the train station when he asked me if i played clash royale?? odd question but whatever. i said yes and he asked to 1v1. unironically there was a park with benches across the street so we made our way there. after 2 rounds of losing he said: “i need motivation to win, if i win this you have to kiss me”. completely caught off guard but i agreed and long story short he ended up winning. a deal is a deal whatever. i told him i was cold and he opened his hand for me to hold. after a few minutes of sitting there it was getting pretty late and it was dark so he suggested we both head home. we made our way down to the train station and he pointed out the turnstile to my train. i was getting my wallet out and headed over there when he said “wait” and i turned around and he had his arms open for me to hug him. after that he said “i had a really great time today, we should do this again soon” i said “yeah definitely i had a lot of fun today as well” and he was turning around to leave when i said “wait come back, you were really warm” and he came back to hug me and was rubbing my back. after that we both went our opposite ways and he texted me immediately after. 2 weeks after that, i had asked him if we were going to hang out again and he said “im sorry if i gave you the wrong impression i dont date or anything but i think youre cool.” i told him i wasnt looking for a relationship either?? and we drifted away and eventually stopped talking a week after that.
