I am looking for a bike for my partner, and we came across the Ridley Kanzo Adventure 2023 priced at around €2000 / $2350 (in EU) at a local store.

Full carbon

Sram APEX 11s

As I am not that experienced buyer (got CANYON Grizl 7 for myself few years back as it was cheapest alu 2XL I could find) I have hard time saying wheter this is a good deal.

I personally use 2x12 drivetrain and am super happy with the possibility to always have the perfect gear, and would like my partner to experience same comfort of riding. However the standard for gravels now became 1x12.

- How does 1x11 stand right now? Is it much different than 1x12 in practise?

- How does it feel compared to 2x12? Or 2x11 for that matter; do you loose much gear precision on 1x drives?

- We live in a relatively flat area, so am I just overthinking that?

I attach link to the same model price a bit lower from an online retailer. We would get it locally though as it comes with yearly service discounts etc.
