I’m looking to buy an early 2010s Sony or Canon camcorder for that nostalgic early YouTube look. Slightly soft, imperfect digital footage like old vlogs and travel videos. This is what im personally going for, buy im interested in hearing what you guys actually prefer, and why. Thanks!

I found this camera on a youtube channel (Chonnie). Fell absolutely in love with the footage quality but its almost impossible to find any more test footage or reviews. Im wondering if there are any popular camcorders with a similar soft, nostalgic early-digital look without being too grainy feel? Preferably something with decent stabilization. Im looking for a solid "retro" vlog cam. I have a budget of around $200-300 depending on the model/accessories.
Thanks!

For those of you who are self employed (or even fully remote), what have you actually made work? I mean something that's been stable, pays your bills, and didn't fall apart after a few months. If you've built something yourself or landed a solid remote job, l'd appreciate hearing how you got into it and what it realistically looks like day to day. What have you actually made work? What do you do, and how did you get it to a point where it supports your lifestyle?
This is part 2 of a post I made yesterday where l asked what jobs actually allowed you to travel or live internationally.
This time I want to get more specific.

Hey guys,
I'm in the US and l've been wanting to move abroad for a few years. Not just traveling, but actually living in another country for at LEAST a year or two. I know visas and logistics will be tough, but l'm looking for realistic ways to make it work.
My question is, What kind of jobs have you had that allowed you to financially afford constant international travel, or the ability to relocate overseas, even temporarily? How did you get into it? Was it worth it? Any big downsides?
Would really appreciate any advice or stories from people who've done this, especially as Americans. Thanks!
