I live in a 4 bedroom house with some tenants who are helping pay the mortgage, as well as my Mom and myself. My mom always cleaned and she has gotten really sick. The house has gotten into a pretty bad state, she is quite the hoarder and I’m looking to throw away or sell a bunch of stuff and start relatively fresh. I could just pay cleaners to come but I feel like I should learn rather than spend that money consistently.

I was never made to clean so have rarely had to do it apart from my own room. But I need to start keeping this house in shape because of all she did for me when I was growing up. As a result I never learned, so I need a resource, book, or something just to guide me on what chemicals, tools etc I need to clean, and how to clean all areas of my house. Just basic stuff, nothing fancy. Stuff like a mop, bucket, towels, chemicals / soap, scent, etc. Then what to use for each area like bathroom would have different stuff, glass etc. For me it feels like cleaning is the easy part once I just know what I am doing. Also I will probably have to build this life skill anyway…

So yeah, just a resource that goes into the basic adulting for cleaning. Maybe I can find like a checklist too that I can maintain for cleaning i.e daily and monthly

Thank you.

I know there is a wiki but I cant access it for some reason.
