Actually getting past 1200
Im not great at chess to be honest, but I have always been able to beat my all of my friends because I at least have a basic concept really easy theory eg. doubled pawns are bad, castling good, controlling the centre etc.
When I first started playing online I placed around 1000 - 1200 and have held there for about a year. I have basically not improved at all since then. I would have thought that by playing more games i would surely show improvement but that hasnt been the case.
I dont really care too much about this because I just love to play the game, but its just weird that practing the game hasnt shown any improvement.
