Easily the most slept on show I’ve watched. I’ve seen most of the “all time greats” in terms of tv shows and I would probably place it somewhere in my top 3. Im the type of guy who loves shows like the wire, snowfall, breaking bad, boardwalk empire, etc… you get the picture, so I may be biased, but ever since I’ve finished it I find myself thinking about it often.
It’s a drug dealing mafia type show set in Italy but brutally realistic. There is no glitz or glamor, the environment is grimy and impoverished, and absolutely no character is safe not even the wives and kids :( Every character is well written and an absolutely terrible person like they should be in that world.
The craziest thing is I would have never known it existed if I didn’t randomly come across a Reddit comment recommending it.
Watch it in original language (Italian) with subtitles.
Oh yeah the soundtrack and cinematography is amazing too.
