Seeking acne advice after months of no progress

hey everyone, I’m a 20-year-old male and I’ve been trying to fix my acne since end of December.

After visiting a dermatologist, I was prescribed a routine:

  • Morning: face wash + Clindamycin T + moisturizer
  • Evening: face wash + Epiduo + moisturizer

I also took doxycycline for the first 2 weeks.

after those first 2 weeks, my skin honestly looked the best it ever had. But I somehow messed up and mixed Epiduo and moisturizer(yeah i thought i was applying moisturizer when in reality it was Epiduo), and my face was super red, swollen, and irritated for that first 2 weeks lol. strangely though, after the irritation calmed down, my skin looked the clearest it’s ever been. which could have been because crazy skin turnover or antibiotic doing it's work.

After that, I focused on healing the redness and dryness fully and slowly worked my way back up to using Epiduo daily. The problem is that after about 3 months, my skin basically went back to looking the same as when I started.

four last month or month and a half my routine is pretty simple, I stopped using Epiduo and Clindamycin T:

  • Morning: face wash + sunscreen
  • Evening: wash face again + moisturizer

Honestly, I don’t really see any improvement compared to when I did no skincare at all (which was most of my life).

Here are some pictures of how my skin currently looks. Any advice would be really appreciated.

My diet is normal, I rarely eat Sweet/snacks/Junk food.

weird thing is I always get acne in same spots. right side is always worse maybe because of sleeping habits but sleeping on back feels like Medieval torture lol.
