IDK if my cat swallowed a hair tie
Age 5 black cat, boy
Basically what the title says, I need advice and freaking out.
While I was getting dressed earlier a knocked a hair tie onto the ground and within the 30 seconds of me changing, pretty sure my cat ate the hair tie.
I brought my cat immediately to the vet. They tried to induce vomiting but he wouldn’t. They also did an x-ray but nothing was found.
The next options were to either do the camera into his stomach or to bring him home to monitor him. I took him home because the option for the camera was pretty expensive… but I also live right about the vet so I can take him back down at a moments notice. This is what I need advice on: WHAT SIGNS DO I LOOK OUT FOR? Also did I make a mistake bringing my cat home and opting out of the camera?? How do I know if it’s an emergency??
I could also be crazy and maybe he just kicked the hair elastic somewhere.. but I haven’t seen it. Help!!
