We had our time , we had a wonderful time tbh. We built it, but as we aged they took it away and made us irrelevant. This app is made for 'low attention span' generation and it's evident when your bio has to be in 300 words.

I can't even see my references properly as it only shows 2-3 lines. It breaks my heart , because sometimes going though all those references used to made me remind of good times and amazing experiences with some of the best people I have met in life. Now it's all gone !

There are 1000s of issues, and I don't think not even 10 percent of them would be fixed. So it's over.

There is no coming back, we have to move on. Thing is do, we do you head each on our own way, or is there a possible solution and alternative way where we can build something from scratch?

I know there are few other platforms like couchers, bewelcome and all but are they possible solutions ? Many times I heard people express they are not very active anyways .

The mother cat was born in my home and came back with its new set of kittens this week. Her mother was the first generation of kittens that arrived with her siblings.

Ki bhalo legeche amar bari te jani na, era aste e thake every year. I don't give them food or anything. Eka thaki , ora oder moto thake ami amar moto. Juto jhaanta esob niye chorae edik odik but kichu boli na knowing kono point nei 😅 . I am a dog person , I don't hate cats but don't know how to interact with them so I just don't bother them at all.

Nijeder moto thake, 4-5 weeks pore chole jae. Toilet er gondho ta ektu irritating, ota ora chole gele saaf kore di.

Voted many times before for different parties as the situation demanded at that time. But this election felt different. As I pressed the button and finally able to see the VVPAT slip I felt a sigh of relief more than anything.

My name was put under logical discrepancy due to a spelling mistake on Election Commissions's part. I had to travel twice before to Kolkata, spent about 10 K just to prove myself as a legal voter. As I went through the cumbersome ordeal, I learnt no other state went through this 'logical discrepancy' issue wherever the SIR process was held.

So whom did I vote for? I voted for all those people who have previously voted like me , had to go through this ordeal and yet their name was either cut off or the 27 lakhs voters whose names were not off but out in hold under 'appeal'.

Amidst all this, I realised the Kolkata I know is no more. The people of Kolkata made Kolkata special. The helpful, kind and warm people who welcomed everybody . From the displaced people of erstwhile East Pakistan in the 40s and 70s , to the Chinese in the the 60s to the lovely Sikhs during the 80s riot following Indira Gandhi's assassination.

Now I see people celebrating people's name being deleted and calling their fellow Kolkatans infiltrators. Absolutely zero understanding and zero empathy towards those whose names got deleted out of no fault of theirs , but the incompetency of a bureaucratic process. It made me realise the current generation failed their predecessors, who made the city special.

My only solace amidst all this, is I know I tried. And kudos to all those who voted to protect the most basic right of their fellow citizens.

As ex PM, Manmohan Singh once said in his last press conference,

'History would be kinder to us (me)'
