So they have the "bricking" mechanism in 4.8 to prevent component duping. but what would happen to the components that were already duped before? I'm sure there are a lot of duped components circling around the universe, and i think some of my ships also have the duped components equipped. What will happen when 4.8 comes to PU? Will all the ships that had duped components now be unusable until players swap out the bricked components? That would cause some headaches for sure.

Alternatively, if they don't brick the already duped components, then that would simply lead to mass-duping before the patch drops. Or perhaps, a ship/component wipe so everything starts in clean state? does anybody know?
