LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US: $400-600

Are you open to refurbs/used? Possibly, if a good deal

How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?

Form factor: small enough to fit in a backpack

Build quality: relatively sturdy, nothing crazy thin or crazy thick

Performance: able to keep up with compilation and maybe a small amount of rendering

Battery life: 1 day is fine, 2 days is great, 3 days is overkill

How important is weight and thinness to you? Not all that important, midrange on both

Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 14-15"

Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. Small amounts of photoshop, JDKs, maybe some other coding environments. Game specs unnecessary.

Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Good quality build is important to me as it will live in my backpack, but nothing too bulky. No touch screen. Windows preferred, but Macs would be alright if it fits these requirements. 2+ USB slots, USB-C charging, decent storage (256+).
