Something being overlooked
Listen. I’m as mad as anyone at Duren. He’s ass. He looks like a fucking geriatric out there. Bball Paul should play over him. Idk wtf JB is doing.
Okay now that’s out of the way. We should be looking at our roster construction. And people are acting like Duren is already being paid the max. He’s on his rookie deal making 5 mil. Thing is he’s been outplaying his contract value. Cade is on a max making 50mil+.
Point being Cade has 83 assists to 63 turnovers this playoffs. I know he can’t do it all himself but if he’s a superstar a lot of it falls on him to set the tone. We need him to do what Mitchell did and take over. And I know he’s capable.
Duren could be gone next year. But Cade will still be making 50 mil+. He’s our team. Not Duren. While Duren deserves a lot of the blame he’s playing up to the value of his contract. Whether we win this series or not rides on whether Cade will play up to the value of his.
