Essentially, given that BC is parallel to YZ. prove that triangle ABC is similar to triangle XYZ using reason AAA. I’ve done everything, but nothing works without assuming that AB is parallel to XY, which I’ve yet to prove because there are no constants given at all. Constructing or extending new lines doesn’t seem to help either.

If it’s any help the reasons we are using are:

angle sum of triangle

adj. angles on st. line

angles at a pt.

vert. opp. angles

given

proved

alt. angles, Line/:Line

int. Angles, Line//Line

corr. Angles, Line//Line

corr. Angles equal

alt. Angles equal

int. Angles supp.

I’m supposed to explain using geometric proof

Thanks so much!
