ESL high school teacher from Czechia.

The fourth grade of private high school is graduating, so they were supposed to have a tradition called The last bell. In the country where I am from it is usually celebrated by gathering children together in front of the school, where the teachers and administration wish students a good life and so on. There might be a few songs or a dance prepared by students, they let go of the balloons and leave off to celebrate. I was told that in Czechia they usually organise some fun activities and games for students outside and then they walk through the corridor of honour when the other kids line up and say goodbye to them.

Our school organised total chaos and humiliation ritual though.

To be fair, it was mentioned in the email, that we were supposed to not wear nice clothes, but I assumed that they just might sprinkle some water at each other and us outside. But when I approached school I was literally attacked by students. First it was just a bit of water, which was fun and okay. But then I got further to the door. I was soaking wet, fully. Idk who did it, cause they were pouring water in my face, so I just stopped and closed my eyes, and couldn't proceed. In the meantime, they dumped a lot of whipped cream on my jacket, backpack and hair. I was all covered in it. All while the headmaster was standing right there and I guess having fun. Then she nodded to me to go inside school. I looked like a total mess and felt humiliated.

Then, there were other things happening inside school, but I am afraid it will make the post too long.

Could I please get some nice words?(
