Came back to biking after years of hiatus, thinking of either upgrading my bike or save up on a new bike.
After a few years of hiatus, finally came back to biking. Current bike is my 10+year old Trinx M136. Shared a lot of memories on this bike as it is my first ever actual bike coming from BMX. I always long for this bike to be upgraded back then since this is an entry level bike with entry level parts but back then I am still a broke high school kid and parts aren't as widespread and as cheap compared today.
Now, I am still kinda broke but parts are considerably cheaper now and I can finally afford some upgrades. My original plan for this bike before is a trailing bike but my interest on trailing faded away and I am now aiming to make it a bike for chill long rides.
But seeing the how the current bike market today became cheaper as well, I am considering getting a new bike instead. Thinking of going gravel or road bike this time since I don't plan running on trails anymore.
For upgrades, I am thinking on investing first on a rigid fork and a fast rolling tire like CST Foxtrail or Innova Pro Cobra Skin.
But I don't know if I should still invest on upgrades or just invest it in a new bike altogether. What do you think?
Thinking of investing 15-20k for a gravel/road bike but if I am upgrading I might try to make it below 15k
Any insights or opinions would be appreciated, thanks!
