The girl and boy are around 11-14 years old. The boy is definitely older. The girl and baby are siblings. The girl's name starts with an "M". They try to escape through a mountain/forest to get to a safer place; however, t>!he girl gets murdered on the way while she is taking care of the baby, but the baby survives. The boy had to bury the girl.!< The boy immigrated to a different country and his classmates find him mysterious and unapproachable. There is a scene in the book where his classmates find him holding a baby and they ask what his relation is to the baby, such as cousin or sibling and he answers no. >!At the end of the book, he becomes happier again and his classmates thought that he has become approachable and plays soccer with him. !<If I remember correctly, the book had a green cover. It was not a very thick book.
