Is 16gb of RAM truly not enough for PC-ported Android games? Suffering from performance issues and wondering if I need an upgrade

CPU: i5-12400 RAM: 16g DDR4 GPU: Gigabyte 3060ti

My primary use-cases are PCVR, basic web browsing, and playing light video games. PCVR is by far the most intensive thing I put my desktop through and where I struggle the most, but recently I'm even struggling to have a few apps open in the background while playing Uma Musume, a ported Android game. I first got this PC ~5ish years ago and it has been pretty great for me up until the last 6 months.

My computer struggles with PCVR, even VRchat on low can get sluggish with visual artifacting and lock up really easily. Please confirm my specs are up to par?

I only play over link cable with my Quest 3S. Commonly have Discord and/or Firefox open which noticeably tanks my speed (though I still have the majority of my issues when those are force closed) so I assume it may be RAM, but I wanted to confirm. I know 16gb is somehow considered the minimum nowadays (which is insane). Windows is fully debloated afaik.
