Recently diagnosed after a sleep study at UAB with severe obstructive sleep apnea (AHI 62.2). They gave me a list of nearby places that do durable medical equipment (like CPAP) but I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a place they’ve used? I have BCBS so preferably somewhere in that network. These are the places they told me about so if you’ve used one and liked/didn’t like using them let me know! I’m probably going to be looking for a payment plan/rent to own because of copay cost and being broke 😅

I (24 FTM) had my split sleep study Sunday night and had 62 breathing interruptions per hour. My minimum oxygen saturation was 86%, average was 92%. I had no REM sleep during the diagnostic portion of the sleep study. With CPAP at 10cmH2O my AHI was 0 and I clocked 23 minutes of REM sleep. They’re recommending Auto-CPAP 10-12cmH2O, I’m wondering if I should push for BiPAP in my situation or if others in similar situations have had success with Auto-CPAP?
