I bought the Vader 5 Pro from Amazon during the sale recently and received a V1 with a batch date of March 2026 with the smooth tension rings. I requested an exchange and the replacement that arrived was a V2 with the clicky rings which also had a batch date of March 2026. Both controllers had the blue sticker for the paddles inside.

As far as I could tell, the only difference between the packaging was the serial number of the V2 (on the left) starts with NLFL12612 xxxxx instead of NLFL12610 xxxxx. This is just a sample size of 1, but I'm wondering if this could be a reliable indicator of whether the controller inside is a V1 vs V2 without opening the package from the March batch onwards?
