Hi everyone, and a special hello to the Supernote team (it's great to see you so active in this community!).
I am currently planning to buy the new A5 X2 Manta. I absolutely love the hardware design, the "feel" of the screen, and your overarching philosophy. However, I am a bit torn between the Manta and the iFLYTEK AINOTE 2, and I have a few questions regarding your future roadmap.
My main dilemma is the AI functionality and the UI layout. I would much prefer to buy the Manta, but the AI implementation on the iFLYTEK (live transcription with speaker diarization, LLM-generated summaries, mind maps, and the split-screen UI for taking notes during transcriptions) perfectly fits my workflow.
Here are my questions for the team:
1. Will Manta get advanced AI features? I know Supernote champions a "distraction-free" environment, but AI implementation is undeniably the future of productivity. I understand that not everyone wants this, but it could simply be an entirely optional feature (or an opt-in toggle) so that traditionalists aren't forced to use it. Are there any plans to implement a heavy AI suite (like the one in iFLYTEK) into the Supernote OS?
2. Modular hardware upgrades for AI? If the current A5 X2 Manta hardware/processor isn't powerful enough to run these advanced AI features (especially locally), is it possible that in the future you will release an upgraded motherboard specifically designed to handle heavy AI processing that we can swap into our Manta shells?
3. Downloadable/Alternative UI Layouts? Will there ever be an option to download or switch to alternative UI layouts? For example, I really like the layout in the iFLYTEK AINOTE 2. It would be amazing if Supernote allowed users to customize or download different workspace layouts to better suit specific tasks (like a dedicated split-screen transcription layout).
Thank you for your time, transparency, and for building such an amazing product and community. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this!
Chris.
