The Roast of Kevin Hart- Are we now OK with child abuse?
In the end, I will provide timestamps.
First of all, I believe there are almost no limits in stand up comedy. But I can't accept this kind of ped*phile jokes. Especially considering THAT crowd and recent events.
This very moment there are countless children all over the world, locked in rooms or basements, waiting to be abused. Forced to satisfy rich clients, abductors, or sick relatives. From a few months old up to teenagers. How is anything about this funny? And how is it funny to accuse a crowd of being child molesters knowing very well that it might actually be true? Are we suddenly okay with it? There is no justice served so we'll just let it go forever? Are we really so desensitized?
Obviously it's a rhetorical question. I don't believe those who wrote these jokes had as their primary purpose to make us laugh. The reason is nothing new, they want to make ped*philia appear like a silly little habit of rich people. Enough to be ashamed of but not enough to face any consequences.
