I have mentored a lot of entrepreneurs and executives over the years. I usually recommend books to read that I think add value. Once you're past all the business basics, I'm usually recommending (older but still relevant) books like Influence or Strategic Selling or Fifth Discipline + workbook(which is better than the book), but lately I've been thinking it may be better to recommend books that contribute to building a good future vision like The Singularity is Nearer, Life 3.0 or Homo Deus. These books focus on where the future is headed.
