I've always felt this pretty strongly, but after hours spent farming base Nautilus it's become the thing I feel the most certainty about when it comes to needing a change. Some points:

  • absolutely MASSIVE map by defense node standards. Don't know the exact size, but it easily feels twice as big as most defense objective areas.
  • for some reason pathways are very long and winding, enemies have to zig zag and climb all over the place, which acts as a multiplier to the already gigantic the size of it
  • enemies regularly get stuck both in the central part of the map, as well as far off on the very edges of it, requiring you to parkour out like 100+ meters just to kill a dude stuck on a rail in the back of an obscure hallway
  • because of the the sheer amount of movement and vertical stair hopping required to move around the outer perimeter of the defense target, it gets tempting to stay closer to the objective and let enemies come to you, way easier, right?
  • ... but if you actually do this you will lose rewards for being "AFK" even if you're blowing up everything that comes in and still moving around a decent amount

It really stinks. I can see the vision behind it, but it just doesn't work well, and I'm someone who does like to go slower at times. I imagine some other players find it to be complete and utter torture, comparatively. PLEASE CHANGE IT!
