Recently, the conspiratorial post linked below decried the removal of the old Sunbury line connection through South Kensington to North Melbourne and it's replacement with a maintenance path.

I thought I'd share something that is absolutely not conspiratorial. The current maintenance vehicle entry to the Metro Tunnel at the western end is provided through a hole in the flood wall. I would suggest it is absolutely necessary to complete the flood wall. If maintenance access is needed, then the old tracks may be the only viable place to put the path.
