I can get a great discount on a brand new Kodiaq Sportline 1.5 PHEV, and as I’ve always liked that car, I decided to go for it. I’m still waiting for my test drive, but I already know that I will have to add:
- Simply Clever Family package
- Winter package
- Rila R20 wheels
The family package is a must for me, as this will be our family car. The winter package and Rila wheels are required to get the discount from the dealer.
My budget allows me to pick one additional package, and I can’t decide which one to go for. I understand that this might be very subjective, but the options are:
- Tech package - adds 13in screen
- Sports package - adds DCC Plus
- Panoramic sunroof
What would you go for in my situation?
My biggest concern is that the R20 wheels will force me to add DCC Plus to keep the car comfortable. I would prefer no DCC and R19 wheels for better comfort, but the dealer said that it’s not possible if I want the discount. Also, the PHEV adds extra weight, and I have no idea how that affects the ride quality.
The panoramic sunroof feels like the biggest feature, but I have no experience with sunroofs, as I’ve never had one. I’m reading that it can be hit or miss.
The tech package adds 3 inches to the screen for the same amount of money as the pano or DCC Plus, which feels absurd. But I’m a bit afraid that not having the bigger screen will affect resale value in the future.
