Current first-year transactional associate in NorCal looking to lateral to LA or SD later this year. Beyond looking for postings for my class year, does anyone have advice on how to find junior lateral opportunities?

I’m planning to submit a formal office transfer request, but based on what I’ve heard from other associates, it’s likely to get denied given my tenure. Curious how others in a similar spot have approached this.
