My hair has always been wavy, with the tips having a bit more of a curl. But I could let it air dry and it would look great. Only product I’d use with that length was hair oil.
This year it’s grown in a lot more curly from the root, mostly loose curls but some locks are coming in as intense ringlet. It’s been extremely difficult to manage because I’ve never had to work with this level of curls before.
Now I have to use a leave-in conditioner with the hair oil, heat protectant, mousse, blow-dry it in a specific way and halfway through use a low-hold putty to scrunch it or it looks frizzed out and awful. All of that took months of research and trial and error.
Why did my hair change and how do I get it back to being wavy? I used to just shower and go to work, now I need an extra 45 minutes in the morning. I’m desperate for answers. I’m using the same shampoo (Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla shampoo and conditioner). My nutrition and diet has remained pretty consistent. Is it man-o-pause? I’m turning 32 this year.
Afraid to get it cut because I really can’t pull off shorter and curly. It was a nightmare growing it out this time.
