Recently bought a home in Florissant and doing my own renovation.
I’m trying to figure out the best options for construction debris and junk, preferably around STL / North County.
Mostly dealing with:
- ceiling tiles
- old wood/shelving
- drywall
- garage junk
- misc demo material
I have a pickup, so I’m considering just making dump runs instead of paying for a 10-yard dumpster (Gateway quoted me $485 for a week).
For anyone who’s done this recently:
- Where do you self-haul construction debris?
- What are the relative costs for a full truckbed?
- Any places to avoid?
- Are there transfer stations/landfills near Florissant that are reasonable for homeowners?
Trying to find the sweet spot between cost and convenience, and not destroying the suspension on my truck with endless trips.
