Hey guys, I'm building something I think is genuinely different (as we all do haha) and wanted to share it here to see what you think (especially for any of you fitness folks).

Essentially I think “personalised workout plans”, where you're told exactly what to do and when, only to fall off at the first hurdle, are bulls**t. And I know there are a million apps that do this who would disagree (but their retention rates are terrible).

I think training should be looked at as a process, where progress comes from HOW you change, not only what you change. Which means understanding how our brain works, not just our bodies.

So to tackle this I've built an app that sits in between training and behavioural psychology. Instead of giving you a workout plan, it looks at how you already train and identifies specific opportunities to optimise your routine, small changes, specific to you. The idea is that over time the changes compound into results, but those results last.

Being completely transparent, the app is just a bit past MVP, and I am now using it as a research tool to see and learn what's actually helping people change their behaviour so we can make it smarter and better.

Genuinely curious to hear what people think, does the approach make sense, and what would you do differently if you were building this?
