I’m trying to get my head around the question in the title - I’ve had two doctors advise fusion but a couple of medical tourism clinics in Germany push the virtues of ADR. One of the clinics in question is very well optimised on Google searches and I’m struggling to find impartial advice for my own degenerative disc disease/spondylitis at L4-S1.

Has anyone on here discussed with surgeons (neuros and chiros) who favour fusion what their expert opinion is of ADR? I’m wondering if it’s a niche solution which isn’t perhaps as reliable as its proponents would have me believe, just with a louder voice or fans on the web than the rival camp and its fans of fusion.

I’m sitting on one recommendation of fusion, one suggesting corticosteroid injection and possibly fusion if the jab doesn’t fix things, one recommendation of ADR and another of decompression now and ADR in due course. I’m thinking take the jab for now and revisit down the line, but fusion vs. ADR…
