USB4 bottleneck?

Hello, r/eGPU. Could you please explain a few points regarding the USB4 (40 Gbps) connection?:

  1. How can I determine if PCIe tunneling is enabled on my USB 4.0 Gen3 if my connector is not ThunderBolt 4 certified?

  2. It is well known that ThunderBolt 4 offers only 4xPCIe 3.0, which provides very limited bandwidth. Is the amount of video memory critical for stable performance (for example, 12 GB or more for FullHD 60 frames per second on high and ultra settings)?

  3. Does the processor influence the choice of the graphics card manufacturer (for example, AMD + AMD, but not AMD + NVidia)?
