So I have a gambler character and we're doing a riverboat gambling tournament. Think the 3rd act of Maverick staring Mel Gibson.
While the gambler PC is the star of this session, Everybody will be involved and will have something to do. (Including shenanigans fights at the end lol). We have been building up to this session for a while now, introducing random 'named' gamblers throughout the campaign (this will be session 18) so lots of familiar faces to look forward to.
Now I know Xanathar has gambling downtime rules. but those are like three rolls. I am curious if people have suggestions on how to 'flair' it up. Or any idea on how to run this tourney. If anybody has exp running something like this.
Any input will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advanced!
Edit: while BBEG shenanigans will occur, cheating and heist isn’t the name of the game here. Nor is the idea that the PC’s are meant to win.
