Brand new to fasting

Just did my first fast. I was hoping to do 72 hours, but I didnt make it. I'm guessing I probably didn't prepare well and since it was a bit of an impulse decision, I'm happy with making it 56 1/2 hours. A few times around the 48 hr mark i got a bit light headed and didnt feel to great. Than again a few hours later so once I was able to grab some basic sliced chicken breast I did. First bite, tasted like heaven. Everything after... tasted absolutely rancid. Is this normal? I detest throwing food away but i absolutely would not be eating any more of it. Is that normal? I clearly need to prepare better and research more before my next fast.

As the title states, I need some help figuring out what to buy and keep handy. I do not have any cooking skills nor wish to carry the extra items needed to do so as my space is pretty limited and it wouldn't be stealth being stuck in a city cooking outside a car. When I last did this about 6 years ago I was blowing money left and right on fast food and generally very unhealthy. My ex was a vegetarian and we ate out a fair bit but usually healthier options. But if she made something I was just appreciative and ate it never trying to learn more. If anyone can help out it would be very much appreciated!
