I’m a Lithuanian citizen, and my boyfriend is a Russian citizen. We’ve decided to get married in Armenia so we can finally start our life together in Lithuania. We’re planning to stay in Armenia for about a month or two to handle all the paperwork and would love some local advice.

1. Marriage Registration:

What is the current process for two foreigners (non-residents) to register a marriage in Yerevan?
We know we need our passports and "certificates of no impediment" (proof of single status). Do these need to be apostilled/legalized in our home countries first, or can we handle translations and notarization directly in Yerevan?
How long does the process usually take from filing the application to the actual ceremony? Is there an expedited option?

2. Finding a Place to Stay:

We are looking for an affordable 1-bedroom apartment or a studio for 1–2 months.
Which districts should we look into for better prices? We’ve heard about Arabkir and Davtashen—are they good options for a short-term stay?
What’s a realistic monthly budget for rent right now? Is it better to use Airbnb/Booking, or are there local sites (like List.am) where landlords are open to 1-2 month rentals?

3. General Tips:

Any recommendations for reliable translation agencies or notaries in Yerevan who work with Lithuanian and Russian documents?
Are there any "hidden" steps we should be aware of to ensure the marriage certificate will be recognized in the EU (apostille process in Armenia)?
