I got the "golden email" over two years ago that the loan was discharged and it will be off of my report. Got a second email later on that the school closed so nothing needs to be paid back.

Recently got notice that it's back on my credit report. I contacted the department of education and they said it's not their problem contact the loan servicer. I contacted the loan servicer and they said the loan is consolidated and it will take time to completely remove. They also said the did said notice to the credit bureaus.

This back and forth has been going on for over two years now and I am at my wits end.
