we were originally booked on the valentine’s day southern caribbean and lesser antilles valiant lady voyage in february 2027. our entire itinerary (except embarkation and debarkation ports) was changed due to the sisters at sea event, and the whole reason why we booked this sailing was for the itinerary. we are not interested in the sisters at sea event and the itinerary change was such a downgrade, so we asked our first mate to rebook us on the same itinerary a few weeks later. he advised that any promotions that were applied to our original booking may be lost, and it turns out, we’ve now lost a $200 bar tab.
for reference, the original itinerary (and the one we rebooked) was:
oranjestad, aruba
willemstad, curaçao
fort-de-france, martinique
basseterre, saint kitts and nevis
+2 sea days
the forced itinerary change was:
samana, dominican republic
grand turk, turks and caicos
cabo rojo, dominican republic
+3 sea days
I’m incredibly frustrated. we would have kept our original booking had they not changed our whole itinerary. so not only are we inconvenienced by having to change our plans, but we’ve lost $200 in the process. is it worth pushing back and asking our first mate to try to get our $200 bar tab back or are we SOL?
