First off, I’ve read hundreds of reviews, Reddit threads, Facebook comments, and watched hours of YouTube videos about Cancun-area all inclusives. Thank you all for sharing so much helpful information and detail.
That said, I’m still completely confused.
We were originally deciding between Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, Hard Rock, and Dreams Playa Mujeres, but ended up booking Moon Palace The Grand because it was surprisingly one of the cheapest options. We were also able to get a swim-up room for 6 nights for about $4,700, which has always been a dream resort feature for us.
But then I keep seeing so many negative reviews that now I’m second guessing everything.
We’re a family of 5 with kids ages 11, 9, and 5, and we love to stay busy all day long. We’re not huge beach people, but coming from the mountains of Colorado, we do still love ocean activities. From what I’m reading, it sounds like we may need to leave the resort to really enjoy the beach and water.
For those who have stayed there:
- Are the food and drinks actually okay?
- Does the resort feel extremely crowded?
- Did your kids love it?
- Did you regret choosing it?
- Would you recommend something else instead for early December?
