Confessions of a Toonie Addict

Hi everyone,

First time poster. I enjoyed posting in the Canadian Coin Collectors FB page, but my posts kept getting removed for a reason unbeknownst to me.

I have been collecting toonies in my change for about 2 years now (on and off). Recently, after a trip to Winnipeg for UFC, I started to branch into Loonies and Quarters. The first picture is my collection, with 98% of them being acquired in Newfoundland (my home province), with the majority of them being acquired through yard sales and flea markets & also from my nanny ❤️ the other 2% were acquired in Winnipeg ☮️

The second and third pictures are recent acquisitions, the top collection of picture #2 and all of picture #3 are coins my nanny saved for me. Very pleased to get the Bill Reid Toonie, the CN Tower Toonie as well as a half dollar ☮️

The bottom 5 toonies in picture #2 are from the bank (I traded in the 4 rolls in picture #1 for 4 new ones) and I found my most wanted Toonie; the RCAF Toonie!

Definitely my most wanted Toonie now is the Daphne Odjig Toonie, as I missed the exchange date at the mint in Winnipeg by 1 day (I had to leave to go home 😿)

Other favourites in my collection are the Nunavut, Insulin, Inuit Nunangat and Counterfeit Toonies as well as the L.M. Montgomery and Elise Macgill Loonies that my wife gave me.

I really look forward to talking about Toonies and coins with you all.

Thanks,

-Dan

▲ 3 r/arcade

Hi all,

I just purchased my first arcade machine and I currently am fixing some wiring issues but I have a question about the shifter, does anyone have an example/advice on the shifter micro switch for this machine? I am confused and almost certain it needs adjustments on my machine after cross referencing the manual (open is forward and closed is reverse, currently my microswitch closes when the shifter is in the forward position). Furthermore, I notice as well (hard to tell on attached photo) that there is scoring along the direction of rotation of the microswitch. I've attached a pic of both the manual as well as the current position of the micro switch on my machine for reference here as well. Any advice would go a long way, id like to have all my ducks in a row before plugging it in.

Thank you for your time.

-Newman
