I’ll reach around 488 CRS in June 2026 after completing 1 year of Canadian work experience as a welder. My CELPIP scores are 9, 10, 9, and 8.

Do you guys think 488 would be competitive enough for future Trades category Express Entry draws in 2026? Or is there a chance I could miss the next trades draw if it happens in May before I complete my 1 year Canadian experience?

Also had a question regarding WES/name mismatch:

My passport name is:
Mohamad Abdul Rahman

But my Indian B.Tech degree says:
Mohammad Abdul Rahman

Has anyone dealt with a similar issue for WES/ECA? Did you change the degree certificate in India, or did WES accept it with supporting documents/passport?

Would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!
