Free dental clinic?

Hi Oakland,

I'm one of your northern neighbors, but I'm looking for recommendations for someone in desperate need of free or very low cost dental work. It looks like the main clinic serving adults closed in 2022, but I'm hoping we can cultivate some resources for this person to check out. It can be exhausting to be unwell AND fight for resources, so I'm reaching out to the community to see what kind of info y'all might have.

Many thanks!

Hi there,

I, a BUFFOON, purchased a home in an HOA that sometimes makes Pleasantville seem tame. Lesson learned.

We're having issues with everything from pesticides to herbicides to denial about the realities of non-native landscaping and droughts. And while I've gone to city council and written reps about the recently updated RCW that deals with sustainable landscaping and HOA limitations, no one gives enough of a shit to do or enforce anything.

And I just take that real personally.

So I'm trying a different route -- education.

Are there any programs run by special purpose districts, conservation districts, other government offices, or non profits that would be able to come chat with neighbors one Saturday or Sunday? There's no pay, which is why I'm looking for groups whose funding might cover things like this as part of their scope.

Any ideas or leads are greatly appreciated.
