Overwatch 10 Year Anniversary - An Unmitigated Disappointment

Yes, I know this has been said 100 times already, but the more people vocalise it, the more likely Blizzard are to see our frustration and disappointment.

No mythic skins.

No mythic shards.

No gold credits.

Anniversary loot boxes that contain rare-quality reskins of the release heroes. (They even advertised this on the infographic as separate things.)

Up to just 3 legendary loot boxes.

No anniversary PVE missions.

This event should have been the best the game had seen yet. 10 whole years and the game is still going strong. What an achievement for the devs, and what a time to say thank you to the playerbase that are keeping the game alive.

But no, the event ends up being utterly pathetic. I could not believe it when I saw what those anniversary boxes contained. What an embarrassment.

If you're not aware of what Chinese OW players are receiving for this event, do yourself a favour and remain blissfully ignorant, then maybe it won't seem so bad.
