Hi all,

ELGAS recently refused to refill our 45kg LPG bottle, saying it’s too close (<3.5m) to our electric hot water system. However, they installed it there themselves more than 10 years ago and have been refilling it ever since. I could only find info online saying it needs to be 1.5m from ignition sources, which ours complies with.

Have a few questions:

1. Has this happened to anyone else recently?
2. Do people recommend other gas providers?
3. Do you prefer getting replacement cylinders delivered or gas refills to the same cylinder?
