Does Chick-fil-A hold your first weeks of pay upon working? I know some jobs hold your first week of pay to give to you when you quit. I was just wondering how that works.

I'm wanting to take a 4 month leave of absence from cfa. Mainly because I have a better job opportunity, but I want to be able to come back if the job opportunity doesn't work out for me. A coworker did this and told me she just emailed hr and told her when it was going to start, etc and when she wanted to come back. She said she didn't need a Dr note. I'm just wondering how it works at y'all's stores?? How should I go about emailing HR for my leave of absence??
