I recently developed really painful dermatographia and have a history of facial flushing and other mcas symptoms but ignored it. I’m seeing my doctor tomorrow and was wondering what tests I should ask him to order? He’s super chill and will refer or order whatever I need so I’m just wondering what the best course of action is?
Saturday night I started getting very itchy specifically around my bra, hands and scalp. I went to bed thinking it would go away (I get a lot of random rashes) but it had only continued and keeps getting worse. I finished an antibiotics about a week ago after a bad ear infection and I’ve read that this could trigger it? The rash appears about 10-15 minutes after any mild scratch or contact with skin. It lasts for hours and hours and then goes away but comes back somewhere else. Benadryl helps but hydrocortisone cream and Claritin are not touching it. I’m literally in so much pain and sobbing and my doctor can’t see me til Friday. I don’t know what to do and I’m wondering if i should go to the er? I know it’s not technically an emergency but I feel like I’m going to go insane and I don’t know how to cope.
