I built a MacOS app that renders Wallpaper Engine scenes
Hey r/WallpaperEngine. I built a Mac app that runs real scene files on macOS and figured this is the right place to share it. I was tired of having amazing wallpapers on my pc only and not having any real options to run them on my mac. It uses the KDE scene renderer translated through MoltenVK to Metal, so it runs on Apple Silicon properly. There's a free Windows companion app that scans your Steam library and transfers everything over your local network, no account or cloud required. It handles the majority of scenes but has issues rendering some of them. Some shader constructs and SceneScript edge cases still need work, and I'm patching them as people report issues.
