I've been seeing a lot of hype on Twitter about Magnific AI for upscaling and adding detail to Midjourney generations. The before and after shots look insane, but I'm always skeptical of influencer marketing.
Can anyone give me some honest Magnific AI reviews from actual daily use?
I do a lot of concept art and I need a reliable way to upscale my 1024x1024 generations for print. I know Magnific is famous for its 'creativity' slider that hallucinates new details, but does it actually preserve the original intent of the image, or does it just turn everything into a hyper-detailed mess?
I've been using the upscaler built into Freepik recently (since I already have a sub for vectors) and it does a pretty clean job of increasing resolution without destroying the original style.
Is Magnific doing something fundamentally different that justifies the massive price tag, or are people just paying for the hype? What are the actual pros and cons you've experienced?
