Budapest surprise
As the title says, walked into the AD in Budapest with my wife (like we do in every city while traveling) and asked for a couple of things we were looking for. Namely a YG DD36 champagne and a rhodium YM or DJ in steel.
Well, they came back with the usual mix of two-tones but also brought an ombré YG DD! After telling him we’d likely be taking that one, I asked again if there was anything in steel available. He then came back with a slate DJ 41. I said I’d like both. After a few discussions…they came home + the AD threw in a wallet, a fob, and 4 boxes of chocolates.
Having a few others (including fluted/jubilee DJs), I will say the slate / smooth / oyster is great as a daily wear - I had wanted an OP and this fills that gap for me but also has the date box (duh). I was anti-smooth / oyster until wearing this one and now I love it.
Also got on the list for some fun ones like candy pink and the YM, so if they land looks like a trip back to Hungary for me and the wife!
