Been two weeks since surgery, suture got taken out today and it didn't close up the wound as it should. I ve been covering it with a blob of Vaseline and pad, soap cleaning it twice a day not sure where i got it wrong.
The doctor left it open and prescribed mupirocin. Say keep cleaning it twice a day and apply a thin layer of ointment twice a day. I was told the scar gonna heal from bottom up instead, will this impact the scar?
Is this normal? Any other care would speed up the healing? Should I keep it dry or covered?
