Sony MDS-PC3 - Backlight on but no display
Hey all! I picked up this MDS-PC3 for AUD$50 from ebay as "Faulty/parts only" due to it not ejecting disks. I took a punt as I wanted a MDLP deck. I also ordered a replacement belt assuming it to be the issue and it was. After replacing the belt it ejects perfectly. Disks read and play fine.
It didn't come with a remote but Logitech Harmony supported it and it does work for powering on, ejecting, play, pause, next, previous, etc.
The issue that wasn't mentioned is that the display doesn't work. As can be seen by the pic the backlight works, but no characters show. I tried holding the right side buttons while plugging into power and no characters show. I have re-seated the ribbon cable with no luck.
Any tips?
Not too much of an issue if I cannot get it to display, I just wanted to playback my discs. :)
