Hello, I am 23 year old working as a centralized billing specialist making $24 an hour. I’ve stumbled upon this job by chance after rejection after rejection when I failed to find a job after completing my completely unrelated bachelor’s degree, honestly I didn’t even want a job in what I studied for, cybersecurity.

I’ve been at this job for 7 months now. Its really comfortable, but I know I am at a dead end. Actually my boss was really upfront with me and said theres no ladder to climb in this position, no raise to be made.

I’m at a loss because later this year I turn 24, and I just want better for myself. I was thinking of getting a masters degree in accounting. I just am curious if any other professionals were once in my position, I would love to hear the route you took.

I stay in Texas.
